With two Golden Bears won for Child's Pose, directed by Călin Netzer, and Aferim!, directed by Radu Jude, producer Ada Solomon has been appointed chair of the board of directors of the European Film Academy, after serving for six years as vice president. 5,400 voting members of the Academy voted for this appointment, which takes effect on January 1.
