A comedy series becomes the most nominated in the history of the American television awards
The bosses at HBO are probably having a party at the moment, because the series The Pitt and Hacks got the most nominations at the 2026 edition of the Emmy Awards, the most visible awards on American television. The Pitt dominates the overall rankings with 25 nominations, after winning the trophy for Best Series (Drama) last year, and Hacks got 24 nominations and thus becomes the most nominated comedy series in the history of these awards. Previously, the record had been held by The Bear, which we keep repeating is not a comedy, and The Studio, with 23 nominations.
