Everything we know about Cristian Mungiu's new film, 'Fjord'

With an almost unrecognizable Sebastian Stan in the lead role, Fjord could have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival

Variety recently published a list of titles that could have their world premiere at the world's most visible festival, the one in Cannes, and the list of titles included Fjord, the latest film written and directed by Cristian Mungiu, the only Romanian filmmaker to win the prestigious Palme d'Or for feature film. We realized, thus, that Fjord is perhaps the best guarded secret of the small film industry in Romania and we proceeded to partially lift the veil of mystery around this long-awaited film.
