The public's reaction and the chronicles make us look forward to Saturday's awards gala
One of the extremely few directors whose feature films all had their world premiere at Cannes, Cristian Mungiu seems to have struck a blow again at the 2026 edition of the festival: his latest film, Fjord/Fjord, received ten minutes of ovations last night at the first screening with the public and journalists. Starring Sebastian Stan and Norwegian Renate Reinsve, Fiord thrilled viewers with a story about the clash between a simple family and the intransigence of the Norwegian authorities.
