The Swedish director of Egyptian origin Tarik Saleh concludes his trilogy started almost a decade ago with The Nile Hilton Incident by putting in Eagles of the Republic two totally out of sync worlds: on the one hand a famous actor, George Fahmy (Fares Fares), who enjoys the adoration of the entire nation, and on the other hand the powerful of the day from the entourage of the real president of Egypt, the controversial Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
