The film about an alien friendship also shows a current problem of cinema
If in 2015 the film adaptation of The Martian caused surprise when it was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Film, the second film adaptation of a book by writer Andy Weir is really a comedy: at last night's preview the audience laughed dozens of times, and at the end they applauded frantically. This applause does not mean that the film is perfect (it really isn't), but it shows the joy of people who have not seen a film that inspires so effectively at the cinema for a long time. Project Hail Mary is basically the most expensive comedy ever made, with a budget of over $200 million.
