'You, me and Tuscany': predictable, but nice and... Enough

A romantic comedy with an obvious recipe, the film starring Halle Bailey and Regé-Jean Page manages to cheer you up

You, Me and Tuscany is the film you enter knowing exactly what you're going to get: the beauty of Tuscany and a love story that can evolve in one direction. You intuit the outcome from the beginning, but you appreciate this considerable dose of predictability precisely because it is comforting and reconfirms that some people are lucky in love and, if you haven't had it yet, maybe the sun will rise on your street as well. Friday's premiere is a movie you've seen dozens of times, but isn't that why we watch Home Alone or White Nights in Seattle? Or, why not, Under the Tuscan Sun, a reference not only immediate, but instantaneous to Kat Coiro's film.
